The Western Roofing Nailers won two games from visiting Westside on the weekend. Logan Stankoven scored three goals and set up three others in an 11-1 victory on Saturday. Jacob Proulx added three goals and two assists, with Harrison Ewert getting a goal and six assists. Brendan Kirschner, Noah Bradley, Nolan Virgo and Carson Evoy also scored. Austin Krug was in goal. On Sunday the score again was 11-1, this time with Adam Niles in goal. Stankoven scored seven times, with Ewert getting three goals and two assists. Kirschner also scored, with Proulx getting three assists. * * * NOVICE The Timbits Rockets made it as far as the semifinals before they were edged 3-2 by the Timbits Flyers at the Go Wild in Revelstoke tournament on the weekend. The Flyers were led by Brady Milburn, who scored twice, and Reggie Newman, who singled. Ryan Larsen had both Rockets' goals, and Jake Poulsen picked up two assists in support of Kolby Hay, who was in the Rockets' net. Larsen earned game MVP honours, and Poulsen earned the team's hardest-working-player hardhat. Ryan Watson won the coaches' game puck. The Rockets earned a trip to the playoffs with a pair of victories in pool play. The Rockets opened the weekend with a 9-3 victory over the Salmon Arm Mustangs. Jarrett Dumais scored twice to lead the way, with singles coming from Poulsen, Larsen, Kieran Maloney, David Browning, Nate Van Unen, Max Smith and Matteo Rawlings. Larsen also had two assists. Poulsen was named game MVP, Browning was the hardhat winner, and winning goaltender Hay was given the coaches' game puck. The Rockets then dumped the Golden Rams, 18-1. Smith, Poulsen and Larsen each had three goals, with Smith adding two helpers. Rawlings scored two goals and three assists, Hay tallied twice and Dumais had a goal and three helpers. Brendan Smith, with two, Jemeke Gottfriedson, Manny Recchi and Samuel Ward also scored for the Coyotes. Allesandro Comita and Kaiden Wiltse each had three goals for the Titans, who got two assists each from Tano Torchia and Daniel Ma. Kailen Huber was in goal for the Titans. --- The Crushers won four games to win a tournament in Revelstoke. They opened with an 8-0 victory over the Vernon Royals, with Grady Egeland, Sawyer Mynio, Colton Yawney, Zakery Anderson, Jed Smallman, Owen Cupello, Jagger De la Gorgendiere, and Colton Day scoring and Owen Geiger posting the shutout. Braden Gouin had the shutout and Anderson, Yawney, Jake Bradley, De la Gorgendiere, Day, Ty Turner and Jake Bradley scored in a 7-0 victory over Westside. The Crushers got goals from Yawney Mynio and Anderson inbeating the Kamloops Thunder, then got goals from Anderson and Egeland in beating the Flyers in overtime in the final. * * * MIDGET RECREATIONAL Tru Market scored an 8-3 victory over Team 3 on Sunday. Wood and Brady Georget each scored twice for the winners, with singles from Riley Peterson and Corlin Georget. Nicolas Gamracy added three assists. Cody Kirbyson, with two, and Justin Devries scored for Team 3. --- The Dan's Collision Roos finished third at a weekend tournament in Quesnel, where they were named the most sportsmanlike team. Kamloops opened with a 3-0 loss to Williams Lake, with Mac Whitmore taking the loss in goal. Whitmore helped the Roos to a 2-2 draw with McBride. Hanna and Matt Norman had the goals. Whitmore posted the shutout in a 10-0 thrashing of Quesnel Red. Hanna and Tyler Wightman each scored three goals, with Aiden Demers scoring twice and Brett Campbell and Aaron Marlboro Menthol Cigarettes Larnder each scoring once. The Lions won another close one, beating Prince George 3-2 behind Dalton Johnston's goaltending. Zac Austin, Garrett Kellington and Poss scored the goals, and Kyle Hutton was MVP. McCoy Pearce had two goals and two assists and Parker Matheson had a goal and two helpers in an 8-3 victory over Penticton. Kellington had two goals, and Colten Gerlib, Wyatt Brook and Poss also scored. Graham-Boyde had two assists, Boehm was the winning goaltender and Chris Dakers was MVP. The Blazers went on to tie Red Deer White, 4-4, as Piva scored two goals and Semchuk and Johnson singled in support of Toews. Buchanan had a goal and two assists in a 5-3 victory over the Winnipeg Sharks. Tre Dupilka-Sales scored two goals, Semchuk and Johnson singled and Piva and Allen had two assists in support of Eschyschyn. The Blazers, with Eschyschyn in goal, lost 7-0 to the Winnipeg Monarchs in a semifinal. In the consolation final, the Blazers lost 5-1 to Sherwood Park. Eschyschyn was in goal and Johnson scored.
